Killearn Football Club are the only club in the league that cannot offer visiting teams the usual changing facilities since the closure of the Leisure Centre off Main Street. Teams have to change in the Church Hall, which is not an ideal venue.
A group has been formed to build a new pavilion with changing and shower facilities close to the football pitch. A planning application has been lodged with Stirling Council, a building with a rendered exterior and pitched slate roof as shown in the architect’s drawing above. A site has been identified below the Black Bull, which is the subject of the planning application. Other options adjoining the football park are also being pursued.
The Club has started a 21 Goal Sweep to raise funds, which are necessary when applying for grants towards the cost of the building. Anyone interested in contributing to this fundraiser can get further details, click here.
